Review of Snapshots from the Tour

26-minutes of outtakes from the excellent Bob Dylan documentary "Don't Look Back." These outtakes feature lots of great footage of Bob Dylan displaying his exceptional musical prowess; it's a particular treat to watch Dylan sing "Mr. Tambourine Man" on stage." Moreover, Dylan and Joan Baez do a terrific duet on "Blues Stay Away from Me." In addition, Baez does another lovely duet with Marianne Faithful on "As Tears Go By." What's especially wonderful about these duets are how they come across as so natural and spontaneous. Another highlight is an impassioned conversation on blues music between Dylan and several other folks in a hotel room. Shot on raw'n'gritty film stock, this is essential viewing for Dylan fans.
