No One Would Tell (2018 TV Movie)
7/10
First one more powerful but remake not as bad as originally thought

Warning: Spoilers
IMO the first one (1996 version) was superior to this newer version. The impact more powerful especially during the courtroom scene when the Judge laid into the people for knowing things, for seeing things and yet not saying anything and it was done in a compelling way. The courtroom scene in the newer version lacked severely in comparison to the original version IMO.

With the newer version I liked how the flashbacks were done and it was nice to see Shannen Doherty again. The actress who played the friend did well too. The updates to technology were handled well and accurate in how teens interact with them. The actor who played the boyfriend did pretty well but sometimes it seemed cheesy. Some may not agree but I preferred the way Fred Savage played the boyfriend.

Overall I did think the newer version did well enough, better than I expected when I first saw that a remake was happening though I felt it was more like the same old same old Lifetime-style movies rather than set apart from the movies Lifetime pumps out (and maybe that's just an issue with time difference), and so I rated it a 7 but the 1996 version I rated it a 9 (would really say it's a 9.5 though).
