I saw this movie years ago, and found it to be a wonderfully realistic depiction of an individual coming to terms with her addictions while at a treatment centre.
For lack of anything I sat down and watched it again last night with my family, and although I still enjoyed it, I felt that it fell short of the mark. That it had not addressed the issue of addiction as a disease as well as it could have, and that it failed to utilize the majority of the secondary characters to help showcase the types and/or the roots of their addictions and their cost, not only to the secondary characters but to their families as well.
