I thought this movie was a really fun, spooky film . . . and then I saw the conclusion. Mind. Blown. My interpretation is that Pyewacket tricked Leah into killing her own mother, which both completed Leah's task and caused her pain. I would still call it fun if the ending had been more positive. Worth a watch if you enjoy atmosphere, sympathetic characters (the mother mostly) and (IMO) atypical endings.
