I am gradually trying to work my way through the list of movies known as Video Nasties, I've seen most but this was my first time watching FFYL. It is one if the few that is technically still banned in Britain, but I'm sure that is because nobody has since sought to rerelease it. They should. I heard a few negative reviews prior but I never take too much notice of other people's opinions. A home invasion movie that features violence, rape, murder and a great deal of racism, true exploitation material. The producers did a good job. The acting is generally quite convincing, in particular the lady who played the wheelchair bound Nan. The film is shocking but at the same time does have some humour to help balance it out. Certainly not a film for everybody but if you enjoy grindhouse/exploitation then this is essential viewing.
