7/10
Very Watchable if a bit Derivative

Warning: Spoilers
Story of a stressed out hit-man (Mark Wahlberg) who wants everyone to like him. We also have his fiance (Christina Applegate), her parents (Eliot Gould and Lainie Kazan), his mistress (Lela Rochon). Along with his partners (Lou Diamond Phillips, Antonio Sabato Jr, etc), his boss (Avery Brooks) and finally the kidnap victim of their latest caper (China Chow). Unfortunately because he needs to be liked most of the other characters try to take advantage of him. This of makes matters worse when everything falls apart and it is discovered the kidnapping victim is the bosses goddaughter and the kidnapping wasn't authorized.

Way, way over the top with a number of influences like the Hong Kong action genre (popularized by John Woo - one of the producers), the films of Quentin Tarantino and some obvious similarities to Grosse Point Blank.

It has lots very well choreographed action sequences, lots of humor as it takes shots at all sorts of targets, and lots of style even if it isn't all it's own.

On the downside it has borrowed from so many other films that some of the scenes feel familiar. Some of the targets of humor aren't really difficult to hit or politically correct or have been done many times before. There are some glaring continuity errors (intentional?).
