One can only imagine what is going through poor Samantha's mind when she begins school at Barclay University and is probably paying $70,000 a year in tuition. Her welcome to the college is harassment from the Delta Nu sorority, despite the fact that she was not even accepted during pledge week.
In an early scene in the film, Samantha is kidnapped, blindfolded, and held at knife point by the girls from Delta Nu. And that is the least of her problems when she is accused of killing her best friend Kristana, who was accepted into the sorority.
The instructors of Barclay are also a creepy lot, especially the nasty History teacher, Amy, who takes an instant dislike to Samantha. Amy is married to the English teacher, Justin, who has had such extensive problems with seducing his female students that he is in a treatment program.
The students at Barclay are so unfriendly that they could be extras from "The Night of the Living Dead." But the final straw has to be the utterly incompetent police, who finger Samantha for the murders.
That leaves Samantha on her own, helped only by her friendly TA Victor, to solve the crimes taking place at Barclay U.
As a murder mystery, the filmmakers do a good job in setting up possible candidates for the criminal on the loose, which include nearly everyone in the Barclay community!
