Virus Undead (2008)

OH BY-THE-WAY, WHY DID YOU DUMP ME?

Warning: Spoilers
This movie was originally released under the title, "Virus Undead." This is a virus induced zombie film. Robert (Philipp Danne) inherits the mansion of his world famous grandfather, who recently died. He had lived there before and was not very popular. His grandfather had created a vaccine which saved the world from an epidemic from a virus similar to avian flu. But we find out it wasn't permanent.

As Robert and his friends attempt to party in the mansion, the epidemic breaks out. The movie ran hot and cold. I liked the German techno soundtrack, but they didn't stick to it. Some of the dialouge was decent early on, but then it falls. The birds were CG, and lacked any kind of terrifying aspect. They weren't much of a factor until the end. The attacks were not the normal zombie attacks, as well they shouldn't be. The virus is supposed to cause aggression in humans, and this couples with a living dead aspect. Could have been better. If you want to watch a good German zombie film try "Rammbock: Berlin Undead."

F-bombs, sex, nudity (Anna Breuer). German cops eating fasnachts.
