Gives kids a completely perverted idea of wildlife including megafuana predators, wrong on how they behave and wrong on what threatens predator populations

Warning: Spoilers
This film is anti-science nonsense that will harm understanding of nature of kids who view it.

I am sure I will get down-voted for saying this but the unanimous consensus of the science shows legal hunting has zero impact, ZERO, on population survival of large predators.

95% of the problem is habitat destruction though conversion of land to agriculture, and about 5% of the problem is illegal poaching, which tends to accelerate once a species gets reduced by loss of habitat.

African lions require huge amount of habitat, quite simply because maintaining a sufficient amount of prey does, and their prey species need very large ranges. People in Europe buying cut flowers from Africa, and other African cash crops, are who is killing the African lion. It is a certainty that this production team from France has killed more lions buying African gown lilies, roses and carnations in Paris markets than any and all legal hunting. Huge swaths of former African lion habitat have been denied to lions as land has been covered to cut flower growing -- literally millions of acres of land. That is not for food production but for flowers imported into Europe.

Secondly this film gives an insanely inaccurate and misinformative portray of lion behavior. Any large mammal biologist would tell you.

It does so to give a false sympathy. We should be sympathetic to lions, but based on admiring their grandeur as being among the most evolved top predators, not for some cuddly nonsense. If you want a realistic film on how humans interact with, and misunderstand top predators, watch "Grizzly man" by Werner Herzog.

I am sure i will get downvoted by people who do not understand the science. But the fact is legal hunting has NO negative impact and a large positive impact in that it plows huge amounts of money into economic basis that allows land lions live on to be kept for LIONS and not converted to agriculture. For every lion legally hunted, the fees pay for land for 18 lions to be kept from being converted to agricultural use.

It is not just denial of of the land to the lions, 130 TIMES as many lions are killed each year by habitat loss, direct killing by FARMERS, in S. Africa, Malawi, Kenya, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Tanzania, than legal hunting.

What is driving down lion populations --- according to the SCIENCE: 1) conversion of land for agriculture (loss of aggregate habitat, and loss of habitat "connectivity." 2) Native bush-meat trade within Africa (illegal poaching for meat consumed in Africa) 3) Other poaching (China biggest user of poached animal product) 4) Killing by farmers tor prevent livestock loss.

Only one method of killing lions INCREASES lions: Legal hunting. Because the money from that is plowed directly back into maintaining or increasing habitat.
