I first started watching it and then was going to change channels as it seemed like another angst ridden gay drama where no one ends up happy until I heard the grandmother say something that my mother said to me. I started to realize many eerie similarities with my own life and why my mother was angry all of the time and my father was so distant and preferred to hang out with Air Force buddies instead of his wife.
The characters were so complex that it needed at least three-four hours to accurately tell the story and it was missing a middle. What happened to Michael and Thomas and how did they die? How did Flora end up with the cottage? What happened to Michael's son and Adam's parents? Did Adam have any siblings? It would of been nice to know these things to add continuity to the story otherwise I would give it 10/10.
