Makes the French police look like a bunch of bumbling idiots
19 July 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This show is watchable and living in Florida I enjoy these cold climate series, especially Norwegian and Finnish and German but this show is also annoying as hell because French police make basic mistakes one after the other which really make them look stupid. I was screaming at the tv most of the time because they weren't following basic detective protocol....ever. The acting was ok and most fulfilled their roles fairly well....no real standouts not even the leads. I dont think it was really miscast though just poor writing and scenarios they had to conform too. The story was plausable had the writing been better and more realistic....I don't believe the French police are that stupid or that they would have bumbled so much basic detective work and protocol so if theres ever a season 2 they need to do better research. Also, the end scenario was completely inplausible....spoiler alert....it is completely impossible to believe that girl could not have removed the facemask herself and also when are writers going to realize plastic zipties can be broken in minutes using friction. Yes it may hurt your wrists a little in the process depending how and what your ziptied too but she could have just slid her hands up and down on those bars and would have been out less than 5 minutes.....friction.....like starting a fire. Complete bumbblers. Learn your subject matter before learning to write drama....plus who vets this stuff for accuracy. Btw...yes police use zipties all the time and they are also huge beefy ones and only for transport and they dont leave you alone for any length of time so you can break out, they always watch you so you cant use friction. They also wouldnt use them on a suspected murderer or other violent criminal and they would never hand cuff a suspect with arms in front, always behind. So any writers reading this try and learn something here and if your plotlines require these types of errors then scratch your head a little more to make it more believable. Thank you.
