Saw this at Hex in calgary today. Please note small amount of spoilers.
First off got to meet the crew , who based on their personalities Alone should get a 10 out of 10.
There is so much about this film that is great I cannot list it all
As I said to the director, I see it as the citizen Kane of puppet murder comedy films.
It is a direct homage to 80's slasher but as much tongues as you can ram through your cheek,I mean a mf puppet is the killer.
You have to get past the satire of casting all the teenage leads as 30 and 40 year olds to truly appreciate the comedy references to great horror films of the 80's. ( all the great 80's slashers tried to cast 30 year olds as teenagers ) and this takes it so far over the edge it makes it that much funnier.
This will make it into my pile of great Canadian horror films , sharing the stage with greats like black Christmas and scanners
Best scene is ghost puppet and Robin Hood Freddy scene!! Well done team , well done
