The personal valet of a famous recluse painter dies and is mistaken for the painter, Mr. Farrel. Even mistaken by his cousin due to Mr. Farrel's aversion to society. Thus this man is able to attend his own funeral and is considered a fool for trying to correct the mistake as no one believes him. Will he be able to prove he is not actually dead? He keeps painting and an art speculator identifies his brush strokes. Will that prove the death mix up and will he want this resolved from living a less isolated life? This it's a pleasant and unique little story told simply in a 30s B-movie way.
