Overall, the idea of the series was very good. However, the way it was portrayed was not as good. The way they talk about bipolar disorder in general doesn't feel very realistic as i grew up with someone who struggled with it and it definitely wasn't something obsessed over or made a big secret. Also, the lines just seemed very forced and out of place sometimes, but I watched it to the end for Kaya. Honestly, kind of disappointing, but Kaya was still very well in it. I just think the mom's character was very awkward and not an accurate portrayal of bipolar disorder. It made her seem incredibly toxic and never being a good place for her kids to confide. However, Kat was the opposite, so I am very conflicted. Definitely worth a watch if you have free time, but don't get your hopes up too high.
