. . . Corrupt Communist Capitalism. THE PAINTED DESERT tells the story of a scenic area minding its own business, when a pair of greedy, grasping money-grubbing exploiters begin a two-pronged assault against the carefully-balanced environmental equilibrium. "Jeff Cameron" is Hell-bent upon depleting a Desert Legacy Aquifer--which has taken many centuries to accrue--as quickly as possible with the goal of getting Americans hooked on a life-impairing diet of Whoppers and Big Macs. Not to be outdone by this hydrological vandal, "Cash Holbrook" tries to corner the market on dynamite in order to level landmark rock formations akin to those gracing Monument Valley. (Cash is laboring under the delusion that the USA will soon switch to a "Tungsten Standard," replacing that of Gold!) With "Bill Holbrook" and "Rance Brett" thrown into this motley muddled mess of miscreants, THE PAINTED DESERT dedicates itself to exposing how this questionable quartet of looting losers constantly quibble amongst themselves with the sort of double-crossing back-stabbing dirty dealing and shady trickery which always has typified Corrupt Communist Capitalism. As the Scripture says, "A House divided by Money cannot stand itself," a Truism certainly borne out by THE PAINTED DESERT.
