Incredibly Well Done and Beautifully Acted Story!
5 February 2020
Wow! I must say I am impressed and more than slightly blown away! Having just come off watching Sabrina, This witch story is Nothing like it..Both have their niche, but ohh man, this was just a beautiful story of magic, love and gothic power...While Sabrina is kooky, intense, satirical and wayy out there, This story is much much more realistic, grounded yet wildly beautiful in how the witches and their power is portrayed...It is more like A Discovery of Witches than Sabrina..If you like to see magic, witchcraft displayed in ways that seem believable ,yet intense ,captivating and awe inspiring then this show is for you! I watched it dubbed in english and the dubbing and voice acting was superb for all actors in it..I could forget it was dubbed,it was that good! One thing that prevented me from giving this fantastic series a 10 was the use or should I say "misuse" of the soundtrack..It seemed AT Times, very out of place ,not in keeping with the intent and theme of the story and it tended to pull one Out of the moment rather than draw you IN, which Should be the intent of a good soundtrack..It should Enhance not detract from the story...That said, its only a few odd times that this occurs, mostly ,its fine...This is an outstanding foreign effort that draws you immediately into its rich, scary, dark, and beautiful story which has a romance growing at the same time..I loved it and want more seasons ,especially after the cliffhanger!
