Review of Lost & Found

Lost & Found (VII) (2018)
10/10
Possibly the best film about love in any medium ever

Warning: Spoilers
The look of the piece is beautiful...a small Japanese restaurant with a garden alongside. Two animals made of yarn, a dinosaur and a fox , are to be found on the lost and found shelf of the business and have had the run off the place after dark. They truly love each other as is demonstrated by flashbacks during the story. I suspect that the title of the film may rely on the idea that each was at one time lost but they have found one another and live in a world happily apart from that of humans. The fox who seems to be representative of a female falls into a wishing well. The dinosaur immediately thinks of a way to possibly save her but to do so will require sacrificing his very being.. The fox becomes aware of this and tries to prevent the end of his existence at the cost of her own. Possibly the events are recollections by the fox but I suspect not as she would have to add her impressions of what her friend was thinking in his final moments.. The conclusion to the story may not be the end of their pairing as the fox is determined to knit the dinosaur back together . Being a magical creature she maybe able to do so or she may be able to have him return by making a wish at the wishing well which is what she was doing at the story's beginning if this is a flashback in the fox's mind her presence at the well and throwing pebbles into it would well fit,,,she is wishing for her friend's return. I would have chosen a different ending tho the one in place is the most powerful. The fox may be able to win the day...their love is that strong. I appreciated that not only did they love each other , they liked one another as much as thinking creatures are able to do .It is unthinkable that the fox will spend the rest of her days without her partner. 10/10
