Impressed By The Centuries

James A.Fitzpatrick sends the Technicolor cameras to Northern Ireland under the control of cameramen Virgil Miller and S.D. Onions to natter on about the beauties of the land and the long history of Ireland. Ulster, as this district was known in times gone by, when people spoke in a circumlocutionary manner, like like narrators talking over travelogues of pretty yet unrecognized landscapes, with the odd names giving people the impression that he knew what he was talking about...... where was I? What was I saying?

Oh, yes. Ireland. Fitzpatrick talks over this one in a calmer manner than he had in the days before the Second World War, as if he knows the words, but not how they add up together in sentences. Anyway, the pictures in this short subject were in pretty good shape when I saw them this afternoon on Turner Classic Movies.
