Bacurau is artistically full of good ideas BUT overall it didn't really work for me. The symbolisms demonstrating the historical and socio-political issues in Brazil are thought-provoking, but imho due to the rather uninspired writing, for some part really terrible acting and execution, it couldn't manage to reach its full potential.
I love weird movies that defy standard narrative and character structures. Bacurau is that sort of movie. It's absurd, it's fun, it's different, but unfortunately far from great.
