Review of Girlfriends

Girlfriends (2015 Video)
Stormy with sincerity
9 April 2020
Stormy Daniels is seriously underrated for her ability to direct real movies, though of course all her efforts have included XXX content. This sensitive look at coming-out as a lesbian plays quite well, beyond the explicit sex.

Two coming-out stories are carefully intertwined in Stormy's screenplay: star Casey Calvert reluctantly lets her unsympathetic parents (Kylie Ireland and Kyle Stone, uncredited) know she's a lesbian; and later her straight best friend also leaving the closet.

Sex scenes are vigorously preformed, especially a Lily Cade/August Ames coupling, but the gist of the movie is its affectionate, sympathetic look at coming to terms with one's sexual identity.
