I have friends who have an almost religious reverence for this film but personally I never really got it. Ultimately, it's simply not very funny. There is some tedious toilet humour from John Witherspoon and plenty of overacting from Chris Tucker and that's about it. The plot is basically non-existent and the film works ever so slowly to a faintly ridiculous ending. Massively overhyped.
