I don't know why there are so many negative reviews about this series. It might not be "True Detectives" but its definitely holding its own. Each episode WILL leave you wanting more, which is a pretty good indicator of good TV in my book. Every time you're SURE you have it figured out, here comes another curve ball.
The unknown/unfamiliar cast does a great job. Who doesn't have love for "Black Jack Rackam of Black Sails", "Sam Merlot of True Blood" and "Daniel Holden of Rectify"? Don't let other peoples negative opinions sway you from at least trying this series and forming your OWN opinion.
