The graphics are great and really in tone with the ominous vibe of the Paranatural world. Almost everything can be displaced or completely destroyed, which can be a lot of fun. Also, explosions.
The gameplay is perfect. The difficulty varies from fight to fight such that it is perfectly balanced. The enemies have different abilities and weaknesses so you have to improvise constantly. The leveling system is intuitive and straightforward.
The interface is better than in most games. The map can be a bit confusing in the beginning but you will learn the layout quite fast. There's auto looting when in proximity, you can fast travel, doors open automatically and you can move while looking at the map.
The story is mind-blowing and so well written that it does and doesn't make sense simultaneously. Every side quest, every conversation, every audio or text log, every note as well. They all fit and add to the experience.
