"Pelle the Conqueror" is a Drama movie in which we watch a young boy and his dad traveling to the Danish island of Bornholm in order to find a better life. They soon start working and living in a large farm but they are treated very bad and something has to change.
I liked this movie very much because it presents very well the difficulties that existed and the obstacles that the people had to overcome in order to survive. The direction which was made by Bille August is simply outstanding and he presents very well all the aspects of the lives of people who were living in both Denmark and Sweden. Finally, the interpretations of both Max von Sydow who played as Lassefar and Pelle Hvenegaard who played as Pelle were outstanding. I strongly recommend everyone to watch this movie because it is not just another movie but a life lesson.
