This seemed like it was building up nicely to be a good film, with several aspects seemingly getting closer and closer to being revealed/explained.
Then Anna inexplicably dies, with no explanation as to the cause, nor are we told why she decided to leave the church and walk barefoot at night into the thorny woods and walk into the river, climb hills, etc.
And then the key point of the story is rushed and treated with brevity by the director, in a matter of a few minutes, and even so, we are left with other questions unanswered. And, it seems, Anna was a liar.
Some good acting but the story-writing and proper execution leave much to be desired.
The religious people were highly irritating too.
