If this is the indicator what defines the 2020s in music, then we are in for a really rough decade

Warning: Spoilers
Here we have the song "Bloody Valentine" by Machine Gun Kelly or actually the music video for that. It runs for minimally over 3.5 minutes and the man in charge behind the camera was prolific music video director Michael Garcia. I am not too familiar with Machine Gun Kelly honestly. Heard the name, maybe one or two of his other songs, but that's it. If I go, though, by what I saw and heard here, it is definitely not my loss. Found the song fairly forgettable, but itÄs still slightly better than the video overall. So if you want to check it out, my suggestion is that you should just go for the record and not the video. Unless you are (still) a huge fan of Megan Fox. Or maybe especially not then because you may no longer be one after watching this travesty. Apparently in this "film" here, she is the male protagonist's girlfriend and she constantly humiliates him. Said male protagonist is played by MGK himself by the way. When he is just gagged and tied up, he is still lucky because in the end she literally kills him by throwing a hairdrier into the bathtub MGK is sitting in. Charming. The result is a pink lightning explosion if you ant to call it that. And he keeps sining still after that. I guess all this was done to take the gravity out of said scene. Not sure what this music video was supposed to imply. A statement on female strength and willpower in the sense of #metoo. Honestly, I could remember people being up in arms if it had been shown the other way around. And let's not even talk of people with different colors and ethnicities and their roles had they been a part of this music video. So yeah, no matter which perspective you take, the outcome here is a joke and not a good one. The only thing I can say about Machine Gun Kelly here is that he is not as cringeworthy as Fox. The scene in the bedroom early on, the dancing in the staircase, but the worst of it all was her lip syncing really. I hoped this could be better with garcia's experience all in all, but nope it is not. If at least this had been released on Valentine's Day, but nothing here is what it seems. And 99% in a bad way. Highly not recommended.
