As disaster flicks go, this ranks very high at 4 1/2 Stars. The special effects are very well done, and the events seem quite believable. But all disaster films must have characters that you can root for and care about. That is where this film excels. Much of the dialogue is authentic sounding without being too cloying. And although there are a few deaths that are predictable, there are also surprising ones. All in all, this mini-series was well worth the time to watch it.
