"This is the real taste of food. This is purity."

Warning: Spoilers
A good film about food and food preparation somewhat marred by martial art sequences interrupting now and then. There have been other 'cook-fu' films before mixing the same ingredients which have worked but not this low budget one. It looked OK, the cast was OK, it was OK. There was a subplot about a nephew which didn't work and was responsible for the fighting parts of the movie.

It did however have the legendary Sammo Hung. Even sitting still and not saying anything he is riveting. He is the best thing in the film and still sprightly at his age. You can believe he is a great chef with years of culinary experience but then he is a great director and actor with years of experience. If you do see the film, see it for Sammo.
