I love 70's horror so it hurts too much to vote any lower than a 5/10 unless it is truly dreadful. The acting in Lips of Blood is quite funny its that bad at times. People have said that this movie would be better without a plot and just stick to the dream effect and I was wondering how could that be until I watched it.
There are a good sum of B grade horrors of this kind from the 70's, make no mistake. This movie makes a lot of them look pretty good.
Spoiler: They are setting him up to look mad and doubt his sanity, yea that's right. But the vampire chicks are on his side and keep letting him go when the conspiracy club keep nabbing him. Some phantom chick appears and reappears randomly without any reason. Random settings and places are traveled to without telling us what on earth is going on. Then we are back in the crypt, whatever.
It's basic french art house from the 70's with a horror theme and poor acting. I can't say the production values are very good either. The directing isn't bad but the script must take up no more than three A4 pages. You can guess the ending right at the start by the way, its that straight forward. Enjoy the tit and bum show.
