In the era of Jason and Freddie, the "Dead Teenager" film became all the rage, they decided to make this stinker, about aliens coming to Earth to collect blood from teenagers for...um... reasons. The aliens are led by John Carradine working for Booze Money and Tina Louise (Gilligan's Island) and Julie Newmar (Batman). Their scenes are all done in the Rural Hospital and are barely interacting with the main characters. So it sounds like they probably only had them for a day and wanted to put their names on the movie poster.
The main movie involves two mechanics working for the aliens who are smart enough to put on ski masks when kidnapping people, but leave their name tags on their shirts. They then go about killing the teenagers they need to deliver alive to get money from the aliens.
The movie is a mess, and it was kind of sad to see John Carradine abused in this matter like an old horse at a country fair.
