Very well written and surprisingly - remembering "Mr Bean" - very well acted. The period is mid 1950's, so modern police niceties don't exist yet. Murders occur many miles apart with seemingly different motives and we don't get the connection till it's almost over. VERY entertaining.
The main characters are clearly British speakers. But, so what? The Hungarian setting nicely stands in for Paris and it's countryside
