Stick with the first

Warning: Spoilers
A belated follow-up to the mildly diverting Aussie crocodile film of 2007, BLACK WATER, ABYSS follows a separate storyline in which a group of divers find themselves trapped in a flooded cave system and at the mercy of a couple of hungry crocodiles. It's similar to last year's CRAWL but nowhere near as entertaining, suffering from dull characters, indifferent performances, and a general lack of suspense. Most of the film consists of these characters literally treading water and occasionally getting munched on, but the effects are very cheap looking and the whole thing starts to get tedious very quickly.
