This is a quirky, reasonably well written end of the world drama, told with humour. The plus points here are that it's array of characters are in the main, well drawn in a quirky tv drama kind of way, with some good performances and it cracks along at a good pace as well as having enough twists and turns that kept me interesting. Although not necessarily an issue, I did find the main character, not so much unlikeable but just so very annoying and I did not root for him at all (maybe that was the point), Rob Lowe and the Leanne character were great though. Overall, enjoyable and it passes the time well but it was not groundbreaking but it didn't crawl under its own weight like many modern US shows that go on for about 100 episodes and 5 series.
