Part of Showtime's series of original films, THE WISHING TREE is a heartwarming fairy tale set in a rural Georgian town. Acclaimed Czech director Ivan Passer lends the film a dreamy look and a sense of timelessness that is essential to the story. Alfre Woodard stars as Clara, a lawyer who has returned to her hometown after the death of her mother and begins to get caught up in a local myth many tell about the town.
