The book by Robert Harris simply recounts the events which are funny in themselves. The guy who did the forgeries had great comic potential without any need to cast Alexie Sayle in the role. Basically Alexie Sayle plays Alexie Sayle whatever he's in. Also the series features Hediemanns's dreams/fanatsies which have a Wagnerian theme and are enacted in short interludes - totally unneccessary and don't add anything at all. Barry Humphries is unrecognisalble playing Rupert Murdoch so no problems there, unlike with A. S. Same with Alan Bennett as Hugh Trevor Roper unrecognisable except the accent somethimes slips. Picture quality is OK if not exactly HD but NO SUBTITLES.
