A Good Heartwarming Tale, but with Problems

Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoyed the film, acting was good and very dramatic with some Religious aspects, but it has it issues. One thing that movie makers don't realize that the Wife of a Soldier killed during active duty wouldn't be struggling to make money. The Wife and Daughter in this story would be getting money from the Military and/or Government in the event of his death. Also, the Widow of a Military Husband wouldn't be driving around in a broken down mini van, that was shameful to see. What I don't understand, if this Widow was so loved by the people in her Church, why didn't they try to get a fundraiser or more to help her financially or even tried to help her seek counseling to help her with her grief at the lost of her Husband. They also had a guy from her husband's base tell her that if she needed any help with anything to come to them, but yet she is going around for two years after her husband's death without any financial aid when she should have been getting it. Another situation that is left unexplained, the race car driver, Cody is almost killed in a race, the Widow's Daughter prays he's ok and not dead, he survives, but the girl's Mom gets mad and takes her home, but why? They were not in a committed relationship and her late husband didn't die in his military humvee which could've caused her to be upset if he did die that way, then I could see her reason why she left after his crash. If they wanted a good story with a religious theme, they should have had it that the Wife refused to go back to Church cause that's where she got the news about her husband's death and her Family and friends were trying to help her all that time to not turn her back on God and her Faith. Had it that her Husband died in his humvee which would have explained her shock and anger over Cody almost dying in his race car which made her yank her Daughter out of the Go Cart club with the Church Sunday School, but she eventually turns back to God and the Church after her Daughter runs away and she found out that her Husband saved his comrade's life. All and all, still a good movie, but needs improvements with the script.
