Convent San Tanco is located high on top of a windy cliff in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It is run by the tough but fair Reverend Mother Superior Placido. After being a surfer, new recruit Sister Bertrille (Sally Field) arrives to teach little kids. She is 90 pounds soaking wet. She finds that the high winds with the nun's cornette help her fly into the sky. She always recruits local playboy and casino owner Carlos Ramirez to support her various causes.
