Firstly, I did not like the voice of the Melanie. Somehow I was imagining a much different voice for her.
Secondly, they failed to actually bring the characters to life. Unless that does not happen, you really don't care what happens to them.
Thirdly, the entire movie plot was very silly, and honestly, for the first time, I couldn't watch an animated movie in a single sitting.
Forthly, other than most of the issues which people picked up, and so that I don't nitpick further, my biggest issue was woth the ending. Two regular teens, going out on a date, when suddenly a huge monster dog comes (predictable) and they're ready? With what?
I'd say this was a cliché filled movie which was a swing and a miss.
