Enjoyed it for awhile 'cause of director Wayne Wang and screenwriter Judy Rascoe's comic energy (love the NYC "Guys n Dolls" style male bridesmaids!). Also, the cinematography does a good job of evoking 40s NYC, but after an hour or so I found the film increasingly tiresome. I mean, erectile dysfunction can only take you so far, right? And boy did I not believe that a pretty, intelligent gal like Mei Oi, even a sex starved one, would go for that creepy, fat "uncle". Give it a C plus.
