This feels forced. The team behind this try-hard reboot, continuation, or whatever we're calling it just doesn't put rounds on paper. There is lazy editing, continuation issues (like switching from a JL Jeep Wrangler Unlimited to a JK and back to a JL??) to just arbitrarily deciding a non police dog is qualified to do K-9 stuff because 'his dad trained him' is just stupid and far fetched even for Disney. And a pregnant US Marshall doesn't go into the field to execute warrants or get into gun fights...it's was clearly a vehicle for laughs to insert a pregnant Marshall over a non-pregnant one. You'll see all the 'plot twists' a mile away after you've thrown up after the cheesy man to dog banter and rapid relationship development between an OCD bachelor and his large 1 bedroom apartment bed never be able to afford in San Francisco and this dog out of thin air named 'Hooch.' The dog is the best part and it's probably because he is the best actor on screen. Save an hour and skip.
