Nice making of doc
23 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This 24-minute behind-the-scenes documentary covers a good deal of interesting and informative ground on the making of "Stake Land II." Screenwriter Nick Dimici admits that he wrote the initial script as a possible ten episode spin-off TV series as well as rewrote the script throughout the shooting of the movie. Directors Dan Berk and Robert Olson discuss replacing original director Jim Mickle and the importance of putting their own stamp on the film. Moreover, we also learn that the sequel was originally going to be filmed in either Texas or Louisiana before the producers ultimately settled on Canada where the crews are more laid-back. In addition, there's some nifty behind-the-scenes footage of the vampires being made up. Worth a watch for fans of the film.
