I had quite expections when I sat down to watch this one, but unfortunately I was disappointed.
The movie starts very nicely and strongly, which continues for the first 30-45 mins, but from then on, it slowly slowly spirals out of control. The more you watched the worse it got, and even though they tried to emotionally supercharge the last scene, it just fell flat on the face.
The songs were very good but not evergreen.
The hero wants to take revenge against Tansen, but actually Tansen is barely shown throughout the whole movie, and even in those scenes he doesn't do anything from which the audience will have negative feelings towards him. You actually side with this good hearted man, instead of this hell bent on revenge, heartbroken man.
All in all, even though the acting and songs were good, the way the story was shown was very bad, and certainly not worth spending almost 3 hours on this.
