Definitely needed some heavy script doctoring before production

This film could have been edited down to 80 minutes. Though shot for theatrical release, looks not much different than the made-for-TV line of similar comedies by RAI.

The original idea is not bad, however the execution suffers from subplots, attention to detail and the lack of a lead female who could share notable screen time with Pierfrancesco Favino and Giuseppe Fiorello.

The dialogue between the protagonist and the Cuban prostitute was the highlight of the movie as it touched on the untapped potential of the story.

The energy with Italian show biz is quite high and a film with cameos by Jovanotti, Gigi D'Alessio and Gianni Morandi is obviously more "the reflection of celebrity synergy" than an artistic attempt, and maybe that is how the outcome should be measured.
