Has some classic moments alongside some really boring and tedious ones. Muppet Treasure Island is a bit of a mixed bag!
Tim Curry was great in the role of Long John Silver. It features some fantastic one-liners in typical Muppet-style. Some of the songs are significantly better than others.
The English guy playing Jim Hawkins was rather annoying - which given this is a Muppet rendition of Treasure Island is somewhat of a problem.
To be honest, was kind of disappointed with casting Miss Piggy as Ben Gunn. The rest were perfectly cast though - loved the Swedish Chef scene and the ongoing "rat tour".
There were some fun scenes and it has that general Muppet vibe. But the film was at its best when making fun of itself. The rest just kind of overstayed its welcome.
