Classic western, with Burt and Kirk doing it Macho, Burt playing the straight man and Kirk the cameo, supported in small roles by DeForest Kelly (Star Trek), Lee Van Cleef (Spaghetti Westerns) and the best actor of the film - Dennis Hopper in an early role, Jo Van Fleet and Rhonda Fleming supplying the glamour.
Its a well made film, the colour is excellent for the day, and most performances were well done, Jo Van Fleet overacted a little, no doubt trying too hard in the rarified pool of talent.
The story is a well repeated one, but since this is the best film version of it, is always worth watching again.
