Turkey Shoot (1982)
6/10
"Serviceable, well contoured, good feel".

Well, you either love or hate 'Turkey Shoot'. It's a variation on the classic 'The Most Dangerous Game' crossed with a dystopian future and a prison flick. I liked it for it's flagrant excesses, the attractive Australian locations (lovely waterfalls) , smooth Michael Craig as Thatcher, big Roger Ward as Chief Guard Ritter, Steve Rackman as the mountainous Alph, the widescreen cinematography by John R. McLean and the interesting music score by Brian May. And of course the beautiful Olivia Hussey as one of the prisoners, looking most fetching in the yellow outfit worn by the inmates and running around charmingly. Perhaps that was really why I liked the film....
