Who would have thought that Oliver Stone's debut movie would be a house invasion horror starring Hervé Villechaize as one of the chief villains? Yes its true and a psychotronic film it certainly is. Its about a writer whose recurring nightmare comes to life, where he, his family and friends are the victims of a house invasion by the Queen of Evil, a dwarf named Spider (Hervé!) and a scar-faced strongman named Jackal. Both Martine Beswick and Hervé are very good here as the Queen and evil dwarf. The film as a whole was quite good - it gets by a lot on its sheer WTFness. Its certainly considerably better than its ropey reputation suggests.
