This is a good average movie that presents the dominant culture in a certain historic period in Japan. It has been presented from the perspective of a modern day woman and has some decent humor scenes. However, the movie gets boring in some plots and the story is not very interesting. It is relatively slow going. I don't call it a fantasy movie because the only fantasy elements is going back in time through an elevator in a hotel. It's mostly a comedy drama movie with some historical elements.
