A Picture Perfect Holiday (2021 TV Movie)
6/10
Disappointing
23 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I had recently seen a few television movies starring Henderson Wade, and rather enjoyed the movies and him, so when I saw this Christmas film I happily tuned in. It was disappointing.

The biggest problem -- snow. So let's see, they're in the Rocky Mountains a few days before Christmas and there's no snow. In fact, the deciduous trees still have all their leaves. Not only did the Rockies miss winter, but they missed autumn, as well. Toward the end of the film there are two snowstorms, the roads are closed for a couple of days, yet in the village where they're staying there's only a light dusting of snow on the ground, and in some shots what snowbanks we do see look decidedly like white sheets. Come on now. Can't you guys do better than that? Maybe it was global warming.

And then there was Henderson Wade. I think he's a decent actor. But they made him way too cutesy acting for the first half of the movie. His role does get better about halfway through.

And then there was Tatyana Ali. She's way too snarky in the early scenes in the movie. She also improves as the film progresses.

In fact, the second half of the film is fairly decent, and gets its expected conclusion nicely.

This project could have been done much better.
