Wolf (II) (2021)
5/10
Something Different and Original

Warning: Spoilers
I saw Wolf, starring George MacKay-1917, Captain Fantastic; Lily_Rose Depp-Johnny's little girl was in Voyagers, Savage and Paddy Considine-Peaky Blinders_tv, The Bourne Ultimatum.

Some times, people will gripe to me about all the super hero and action movies-not me, I love them-so if you are so inclined, this movie is for you. It is interesting and original and the actors give their best interpretations of how a human/animal hybrid might act. George is a young man that suffers from species identity disorder-that's what they call it here-and thinks he is a wolf in human form. He likes to run through the forest on all fours and howl at the moon. Luckily, his parents find a hospital that specializes in just such a disorder. It's run by Paddy, who calls himself the Zookeeper. Lily_Rose, another patient that identifies as a wildcat, soon starts giving the old puppy eyes to George. There are other people there that think they are creatures varying anywhere from a horse, a squirrel or even a parrot. The question remains; does the therapy work? Sometimes Paddy's curative therapies might be considered to border on the abusive side.

It's rated R for abusive behavior, language and sexual content-including nudity-and has a running time of 1 hour & 38 minutes.

It's not one that I would buy on DVD-one viewing was enough-but if you are looking for something different, it might be a good rental.
